THE MOST VICTORIOUS SHOTGUN EVER, IN THE HANDS OF THE WORLD'S BEST ATHLETES SINCE 2011

Nathan Hales

I started using my DT11 in 2020 and straight away my scores and consistency improved dramatically. Since I've had it I've achieved both a 124/125 and 197/200! I'm very Proud of both those results. But my silver medal at the world championships...doesn't get much better! I love the way this gun handles, the way it patterns and the way it breaks targets

Nathan Hales - Olympic Trap Gold Medalist

I started using the DT11 when my sponsorship with Beretta began in 2017. Usually, it takes a little while to get used to a gun, but with the DT11 I took it straight to Lonato and shot 24 or 25 even, straight off, first time. Instantly, I thought, I love this gun! For me it's all just so natural

TECHNICAL ADVANTAGE

STEELIUM® PRO
In Steelium Pro barrels, the length of the forcing cone is further extended, up to 450 mm (in 76 cm barrels). An essential ally for those who want to compete at the highest level: it is no coincidence that Steelium Pro barrels are essential components of the most successful shooting platform ever, the DT11.

TRIGGER PULLS
An Olympic level shooter is focussing eyes and mind on the rapidly moving target, pulling the trigger occurs instinctively at the right moment. If this level of athlete is even aware of the trigger pull there is something wrong. The DT11 trigger pulls are crisp, consistent and entirely predictable. The secret to this level of mechanical excellence is a combination of design and gunmaking skill. The DT11has a much lighter trigger pull in comparison to guns with a conventional coil mainspring. This is owing to the DT11's V mainspring which creates a stronger connection between the sear arm and the hammer.
REMOVABLE TRIGGER UNIT
DT actually stands for drop (detachable) trigger. In the unlikely event of a mechanical failure, the top shooter needs the opportunity to replace the trigger unit. This is easily done with the DT11 allowing an easy repair. Most of all this feature is for peace of mind and unlikely ever to be needed.
CROSS BOLT LOCKING MECHANISM
Another distinctive feature of the DT11 is the bolt that emerges from the left-hand side of the action shoulder when open. The cross-bolt system is simply the strongest and most durable way to create a lock up between barrel and action, essential for guns that will be firing high volumes of shells year after year. Eventually the cross bolt can wear but it can be replaced to further boost the life of the gun.
BARRELS
Not all steel is the same. Beretta have developed a unique tri-alloy steel with elements of Nickel, Chromium and Molybdenum which gives the maximum tensile strength. Beretta's barrels start their process as a short solid piece of steel which is deep drilled. Through the cold hammer forging process this piece of metal is beaten and shaped into a barrel. Cold hammering, whilst strengthening the metal, also stresses it and makes it brittle. To counteract this Beretta perform a stress relief of the material by heating the tubes to 600°C in a close to vacuum environment, thereby avoiding chemical reactions that can take place at this extreme temperature. This process also allows Beretta to apply the finishing touches to the internal geometry of the barrel, mill the choke housing and prepare the tubes for fitting into the monoblock.
RIB
The DT11 has an extremely elegant two-tier rib with the base seamlessly aligned to the top of the barrel. The file cut upper surface is anti-reflective and air flows freely through the vents to dissipate heat.
CHOKES
Manufactured from high-strength steel, Beretta Optimachoke HP chokes provide unmatched resistance to corrosion and the power of steel shot. Optimachoke HP chokes are provided in an internal or extended version and can be found in different configurations according to the discipline.
HAND FINISHING
Once all the individual elements have been created the DT11 is assembled at the Beretta custom shop, known as Beretta Due. Here Beretta's most skilled gunmakers will ensure that everything fits together to produce a smooth opening gun, perfectly timed ejectors and sweet trigger pulls. This careful design, refined over 70 years of Olympic competition, has turned the DT11 into a winning machine.
SOLID ACTION
Practice makes perfect as the saying goes; this means true competition guns need to withstand extraordinary levels of use. At the core of the DT11 is an incredibly solid steel receiver, CNC machined from a solid block of specially formulated steel. This action is wider and heavier than other Beretta models not only for added strength but also to put more weight between the hands.
50+ SPECIFICATION OPTIONS
Every shooting discipline and every top shooter, requires particular specification and shooting dynamics. This is why the DT11 is available in over 50 model specifications. Special order options mean that barrel weight can be specified and custom stocks fitted.
CUSTOMISATION
Customisation options are available to special order for all models in the DT11 range. These include specified barrel weight, engraved inscription on the barrels, ornately engraved top levers, an engraved oval (in silver or gold) and/or a Tru Oil stock finish. It is possible to select your own stock blank, in standard grade or with an upgrade in wood quality, either through a UK Beretta DT11 stocking dealer or by visiting the Beretta factory in person. In addition, you can have your stock built to your exact dimensions with a matching forend in Round, Schnabel or Beavertail. All these options constitute a special order, for which there is a surcharge. As with all good things you will have to wait a little longer for fulfilment of special orders
